There have been a great deal of advancements in technology over the past decade. This includes the internet and web 2.0. I think these advancement in technology have been beneficial for our society of Otis-Bison High School.
These are some of my favorite technologies that have been beneficial to our society. Facebook, this has been beneficial because it allows students and teachers be connected to each other, the teachers are able to see what the students are putting on their Facebook profile, and it allows students to be able to talk to their friends via Facebook chat.
Playlist, this is a website that allows you to make your own music play list and post it on your blog, you can add as many songs as you want to and play them over and over again and you don't have to chose your songs. You can title your play list and add a description so if other people want to listen to it they can.
Youtube is one of my favorite music players because there are endless possibilities of videos on there. If you need an informational video to fix something there are all kinds of videos, but the fist one is probably the best because it rates them from the most views.
Arcade Pre Hacks is also another neat website because it lets you play games that people have been able to hack and give you all kinds of cheats for it. There all kinds of different games like shooting, RPG, fighting, action, and puzzle. Most games have cheats but other games don't which makes it more challenging because there is nothing to help you out. It's also nice if you can't beat and want to know how to beat it.
The radio is another music player. You can type in the name of an artist and it automatically finds a radio station that is playing them and if you really like the song you can buy that song. There are a few commercials but they aren't on there very often but they can get a little annoying but it's worth it because they can find any song.
This is my blog on technology. If you have your favorite technology that i didn't post please comment on it.

Slideshare
Today's blog is about the handy slideshare.net. This site allows you to upload slide shows from Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. This is a good website if you need to upload your documents on to a blog or anything like that. Sometimes it can take a while to load the bigger the project the longer it takes thats the only downside.

Games on Lumosity.com
Today's topic: Brain Games on lumosity.com
Brain games are games that challenge the human mind and improve reaction time. These games are fun, challenging, fast. There are thousands of mind game sites on the Internet but lumosity is one of the best I've been to for awhile. To get to the games go to lumosity.com and click all games and choose which game you want.

Adding Followers and Creating an Avatar
Yesterday we created avatars on and learned how to add followers on to your blog via iGoogle email.
Adding Followers:
On your dashboard click settings, once on the settings tab, go to the permissions tab. There are two choices, add an author which enables anyone that you invite to edit your blog. The other chose under the permissions tab is to add reader which allows anyone you invite to read your blog as the title says. Your friends you add will be able to read and write comments on to your blog, if you don't like the comments you can delete them by going to your blog and by your comments is a trash can which deletes their comments.
How to Make Your Avatar:
The link to this site is on the top of this post. To make your avatar go to the link and type in your name and choose your favorite color which sets the color of your shirt. This is almost the exact same avatar creation on the wii, if you have ever played it. To get your avatar on the blog, click the save button which is the far left button on the bottom, next click export it should bring you to a screen with your avatar on it with a red, green, and blue bar under it. Those color bars adjust the color on the background. Once you are done editing the color click save, then save it to your computer, then you go to your dashboard on your blog. Once you are at blogger.com click on the layout button, then click add gadget which should bring you to a screen with different gadgets on it find the picture gadget and click on it. Once you click on the picture gadget add a title to your photo and a description if you want one then click browse and find your photo and then click save and it should be on your blog.
If you have any questions about blogger.com or myavatareditor.com comment on my blog and i will do my best to help.
